Olive Branch Baptist Church Leadership

Olive Branch Baptist Church is blessed to have a Leadership Team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Most of the Leadership Team are made up of lay families of the Church. Olive Branch has one full-time position and the Pastor fills that role.

Pastor Dan Kemp

Senior Pastor

Pastor Dan Kemp was called by God to serve as Olive Branch Baptist Church's Senior Pastor February 11th, 2007. Prior to that, he served as Senior Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Hoagland, Indiana from 1994 to 2004. Pastor Kemp served his country in the United States Navy for 15 years prior to going into the ministry full time.

The attributes that best describe Pastor Kemp as a pastor are strong preaching, leadership development and counseling. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like Olive Branch Baptist Church where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. Pastor Kemp takes worship and preaching very seriously, spending the first hours of his day focused on Bible study.

He graduated from Pensacola Theological Seminary in 2001 with a Masters degree in Bible Exposition.

He is an Adjunct Professor for Indiana Baptist College (IBC) in Greenwood, Indiana, as well as a member of the Advisory Board for the college.

Pastor Kemp has been happily married for 45 to his wife, Phelicia. They have two Children: Phaith and Patrick and eight grandchildren.
